Responsibilities

We’re looking for a technical leadership role driving Floyd’s technology vision. You’re an analytical thinker who can immediately identify what’s missing and already knows what systems work well. Your observations and strategies are always supported by data and changing recommendations based on new data perpetually inspires you. As Head of Engineering at Floyd, you will bridge interdisciplinary links from site design, to supply chain, to marketing and customer experience into a cohesive, interconnected technology platform that will drive the larger technology roadmap. More specifically, your responsibilities will be primarily the following:

• Lead and co-develop the company's overall technology strategy
• Work in an interdisciplinary manner with different verticals
• Build, lead, and manage engineering teams for different technology products
• Develop and track KPIs to drive business performance and track growth initiatives
• Architect the larger system housing Floyd and all its operations
• Actively maintain and contribute to our codebases
• Be the technology liaison and communicator across all verticals of the company
• Assist with communications to the board

Requirements

• 4+ years experience
• Frontend and backend
• Team management experience
• Significant unit test experience
• Experience with e-commerce
• Strong written and communication skills
• Ready to build something big and ambitious from the ground up
