The Role

This strategic, managerial role owns the digital product and its vision. You will define the roadmap, from identifying unmet needs, to driving developments and testing outcomes. The role encompasses everything that is  Floyd’s digital product –– from rolling out new features that simplify the purchase process, to making the fastest delivery in the industry more transparent to our customers, to ensuring a smarter tech architecture built for the next phase of scale.

You’re a customer-focused and results-oriented thinker who can immediately identify what’s missing, knows what works, and continually seeks improvement. Your observations and strategies are always supported by data, & changing recommendations based on new data perpetually inspires you. As Head of Product (Digital), you will bridge interdisciplinary links from site design, to supply chain, to marketing and customer experience into a cohesive, interconnected technology platform that will drive the larger technology roadmap.

More specifically, your responsibilities will be primarily the following:

  • Work with an entrepreneurial mindset to lead the company's digital product strategy.
  • Work closely with the CEO & COO to set the vision and strategy for the digital product
  • Collaborate in an interdisciplinary manner with different verticals
  • Build, test and deploy strategies with rapid execution cycles
  • Develop and track KPIs to drive business performance and track growth initiatives
  • Serve as  the technology liaison, lead and proactively communicate digital product vision across all verticals of the company
  • A leader and agile thinker with the proven ability to function at the strategic and operational level, communicating internally and externally
  • Be an evangelist for the business, communicating an audacious vision to customers, industry, employees and partners

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in product development and management in high tech industries, with companies ranging from large established players to dynamic start-ups.
  • Team management experience with the ability to communicate and motivate teams under and not under your direct control as well as the ability to identify, mentor and develop talent.
  • Frontend and backend experience.
  • Significant unit test experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ready to build something big and ambitious from the ground up.
