Transportation Manager

  • You will play a key role in our Supply Chain by owning the commercial and strategic relationships with our carriers. This will include identifying the best options for worldwide transportation services, contracting, oversight of carrier contracts and ensuring the terms of the contracts are met.  
  • This position will ensure that shipments into and out of our Authentication Centers are handled quickly, safely, and within budget constraints.  You will handle challenging operational issues that will require a strong understanding of our customers, active problem-solving mentality and a passion to execute solutions that will impact short term and long term operations.
  • You will drive performance measures, find solutions to complex logistics problems, pursue strategic, commercial, and operational initiatives, and manage innovation projects together with our carriers and across our expanding network of Authentication Centers. Finally, you will be dealing with the inevitable challenges that come with continuous, rapid growth and a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with shipment options, legal issues, government regulations, import and export requirements, and safety procedures is required, as is knowledge of world geography.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage the relationships with our commercial carriers.
  • Execute RFPs (Request for Pricing) and contract negotiations.
  • Research alternative carrier solutions to existing network.
  • Partner with other Quicken Loans Family Of Companies on carrier contract negotiations.
  • Drive expedient closure of contract terms and conditions.
  • Own and manage the operational set up of carriers for worldwide services.
  • Drive and manage strategic and operational projects with carriers.
  • Create transportation budgets, drive adherence to the budget, and report actual vs forecast.
  • Institute key performance metrics for inbound and outbound transportation and ensure carriers are meeting their service level agreements.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations.
  • Delivery tracking, confirmation and performance management.
  • Ensure appropriate Shipping Documentation is completed for International shipments
  • Be the key point of contact for internal stakeholders, such as Customer Support, Quality Assurance, Operations, Finance and Supply Chain.
  • Organize and lead Operations calls, weekly and monthly business reviews.
  • Advise the StockX leadership team proactively of critical situations along with mitigation plans.



The Transportation Manager should have the following qualifications:

  • 5-10 years’ relevant Transportation or Supply Chain experience, preferably in a similar role, within a high-volume logistics or manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or similar field.
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem solving, analytical and creative thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels.
  • Customer Focus.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with attention to detail and follow through.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Passion for our business model and product categories a plus.
